The City of Lansing has partnered with the Lansing School District, MSU Federal Credit Union, and Capital Area United Way to provide Student’s Savings Accounts through the Lansing Student Accounts Valuing Education (SAVE) program, a college savings program for in the Lansing School District. The Johns Hopkins Center for Government Excellence (GovEx) has supported the development of unique performance metrics for Lansing SAVE to meets its core goals and objectives. In this session, GovEx will support Lansing SAVE partners with learning about performance measurement, discussing existing Lansing SAVE draft performance measures, and planning future performance meetings that are specific to the program’s needs.

By the end of the session, participants will have the ability to:
● Review and frame the benefits and types of performance measures
● Draft a performance program meeting and communication structure for Lansing SAVE
● Understand each partner’s individual roles and next steps for managing the program’s performance
